The coldest I have ever felt is a warm lie,

when I see in hindsight,

The paths I took alone.

Guided by a light with nothing at the end,

But a hole I dug on my own.

So I built a bed with sand,

because it was softer than stone.

Made due with what I had,

Became comfortable with alone.

Climbing out wasn't the hardest part though,

It was learning how to be comfortable with warm again.
