It will get worse. The goal is for the AI chatbots to emulate humans 1:1.
I run an IT Service Desk that had an AI mandate to do this very thing but the customer ripped cord because people complained about not being able to speak to humans. The tooling is still immature but in the coming years, I fully believe you'll have no idea if you're speaking to a human or not. We used Google CCAI for our proof of concept.
