Palestine as a region not as a nation-state. The so called Palestinians lived perfectly fine under Jordanian and Egyptian identities, until they lost the war and dumped behind the new border.
Similar to calling the residents of Dresden "Dresdenians" and wondering why the Allies bullied them so hard.
