Elections Canada says that 32,401 of 116,259 registered voters – a turnout of 27.87% cast a ballot in the race to replace former Durham MP Erin O’Toole. That means only 27% of eligible voters showed up to vote. This is shameful. So thanks to #VoterApathy #Cons received 18,610 votes of the 116,259 eligible voters. And as a result, 16% of the population elected a #Con candidate. We need incentives to get Cdns to vote. #ShameOnYouDurham.
