And had a lot of “alone time” to fiddle clever things with their computers. Other trades, you’d have to apprentice and spend time with learning the reasonableness of the trade. That is why that old book, “The Tao of Programming” was so appealing and funny. Reasonableness encountered in an engaging and atypical way🍸😸 I’m thinking of the COBOL in particular🍸🙀
