Shaking hands is rare anyway in our part. A smile and a node is enough. The stereotypical folded hands is followed by politicians and sometines as formality. However, nobody has had any problem with shake hands atleast in our generation. It was a big NO for even Hindus in the past but everyone had adapted to liberal values by the time I was born. It must be the preference of the individuals present and not Muslims in general.",
