We're told to chase money, fame, and power, and that attaining those things will make us happy. That working hard and giving it our all is the optimal way to live.

I dearly hope that young people today realize this is all a bunch of horseshit. None of the above is true.

Fame is miserable. Power will corrupt you. Money exists to be given away, not to be hoarded. No one says "I wish I'd spent more time at the office," but everyone wishes they'd spent more time with their friends and family.
