In my book, raising valid questions (so long as one considers them valid, irrespective of how others sees it, even if others consider them invalid from their subjective perspective) about those who control a sizable political territory is extremely important so they can take responsibility for what they are not doing well.
Both friends & enemies says negative things about us. Enemies says negative things for us to fail, where as friends says them so we improve/help others see reality about who we really are.
In my book, any group that controls a sizable political community expects it to be treated with kid gloves is not a group worthy of respect. If all someone expects from us is PR for them, with no serious critical analysis, they are not interests in good faith dealings in my book. They just want to run their show & want us to be the pied piper.
No comrade who respects truth will make unfair demands on others. A sizable political community cannot expect protection from criticism when it exercises political power for years to decades.
So, if I am in your situation, I would not respect the wishes of those who dont want to treat them the same way we treat anyone else who is in the same situation. The more the delay, the more we delay the necessary conversations that must be had.
