I don’t have anything special other than areas with enough plants to stay moist and shady. There’s a greenbelt nearby, but it’s a good hop from my backyard. They also seem to like ground cover with a vining growth pattern.

Granted, I usually only hear one or two. A pond would definitely up the population. My aunt had a cement pond in a shaded area (maybe 4’ across, 2’ deep) and they always had tons of tadpoles.
