I concede that, but how often have we been told our good fortune is for the greater good. That was the reasoning behind austerity, the benefits cap and hostile environment. The record suggests it be fitted those who it benefitted but for the greater harm.
Forgive me, please, I don't want to become even richer by starving one more child. That is the implication of this suggestion. Perhaps increase council tax on those with empty rooms progressively over 1 & help fund social care!
