Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, emphasized the importance of preserving the sport of equestrianism and organizing competitions, starting from its cultural heritage in the Arab world, and the need to shed light on its role in reinforcing national identity and its authentic values. This came during his attendance at the first day of the Fujairah International Show Jumping Championship at the Fujairah Castle arena. He highlighted the interest of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, in supporting sports in general and equestrianism in particular, as it contributes to promoting and spreading it, and rooting it in the hearts of generations, and achieving the state's goals in preserving Emirati heritage and consolidating it in society. The Crown Prince honored the winners of the 'One-Minute Against the Clock' category at a height of 130 cm, where the participants showcased their high-level skills in show jumping. The championship, held under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Fujairah and as part of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships this year, will continue until December 29. The event is expected to witness more thrilling competitions. The championship was attended by Ganem bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the UAE Equestrian and Endurance Federation, Mohamed Al Jaber, Ambassador of the State to the Russian Federation, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Fujairah Equestrian Championships, and Sultan Al Yahiya, President of the Seventh Regional Group of the International Federation of Equestrian Sports.
