I have a growing sense of the brokenness of the people here on racist fedi. Probably because I've settled into a comfortable routine of mostly-ironic schizoposting, and when you sit still, you notice things.
A lot of people have the trappings of a transcendental life, but the same inclinations and habits of thought as of reddit atheists. Ideology without vision, religion without faith. The worst of both worlds.
Knowing that a mainstream understanding is suited for livestock, some seek for truth in the backroads of the fedi and similar places. Except they're not seeking truth per se, but the aesthetics of truth. Truthiness. These types seem to converge on literal "extremism" because they're drawn to the extreme for the sake of its transgressiveness, rather than to truth for its veracity.
For every ten "unironic nazis" there might be one who actually knows something about National Socialism as a system of governance. The rest have the the same Saturday morning cartoon notion of it as the rest of society, which they take up because they hate the rigged system that hated them first.
