A couple of times a year, my daily routine changes a lot. Sometimes it’s dependent on events (the past two years I was training for the Joshua Tree Half Marathon in November) and other times I think I just like trying something new. This year I’ve spent more time on guitar stuff than on birds, but still do both regularly. Although in years past I would be out with the camera maybe 300 days. This year it’ll probably be more like 100. Anyway here’s a male Mandarin Duck, outrageous in every way.
