The recently excavated Viking Period cemetery on Funen is a lovely and very informative site thanks to its good bone preservation. But the reporting focuses on it being big. It is not big.
It is only big compared to other burial sites *of that period, on that particular Danish island*. 50 burials after deturfing is normal to small in South Scandinavia.
