I was talking with a friend about how to keep a dwelling air conditioned overnight using solar power but no storage batteries.

Making a lot of assumptions about efficiencies, it looks like i could keep my 150 square foot bedroom cooled 20 degrees below ambient temperature for eight hours using 160 pounds of ice that was frozen with solar energy during the day.

If I owned my own house, I would be very willing to try this as an experiment
