I have been thinking about onchain privacy in bitcoin and have an idea, which I cant tell if it is possible to realise:
Alice sends Bob some sats to a public key which can be verified with its balance and received transactions in a blockchain Explorer. So far, so good and exactly the same as now.
Bob receives the sats and he has now a new address which he can use for spending the sats, but a different address than the one he received it on.
Silent payments did half of what I have been thinking of, to be honest, I didnt know it. So I was really happy about it, when I first heard about and then saw it in cakewallet (npub1j9q…s2yg) cakewallet by vik (npub16jh…w5l3)
But the second part is still missing. Because with silent payments you still have the problem, that everybody who sent you sats, can still track that special utxo until it is broken by a coinjoin or something similar.
What do you think of that? I am not a programmer. So I dont know, if something like that is possible.
