Let's start with "inflation": (Example)
100% Recources in this currency zone are represented by 100.000 Taler (= money supply).
Let’s say you own 20.000 Taler (20% of the money supply) and therefore you can buy 20% of the resources.
Then the government decides to print another 100.000 Taler.
100% Recources in this currency zone are now represented by 200.000 Taler (= money supply).
You still own 20.000 Taler, but now this are only 10% of the money supply. Therefore you now can buy only 10% of the resorces.
The buying power of your "money" dropped, the value of your „money" dropped. Someone took wealth from you, without asking you for permission to claim your values.
You now have to work more/ harder to earn more "money", because you need more "money" to achieve the same buying power.
This is a form of expropriation or „hidden tax“. This is a gigantic redistribution of wealth from the buttom up.
