it's funny, the bane of these things boiled down to how insanely expensive it was to make the ammo thanks to the trouble of drilling the jets on the round on an angle, so lots of broken drillbits needing to be replaced slowing production and driving up the ammo.

hilariously they also worked the reverse of a normal gun where instead of starting out at max velocity and then slowing down, they actually accelerated so weren't really lethal at close contact range (some even saying you could put your finger over the barrel, at least with the pistols)
