Was trying to find news articles about a recent-ish event - a fairly common task that Twitter Search was reasonably good for in the old days.

On current day Xitter, the results are a combination of users hurling racist abuse at each other, and links to a blog post that was clearly written by a LLM.

Tried Mastodon and Bluesky - zilch.

Tried Google News - sorta okay. Was happy to find out that Google Alerts lets you get RSS feeds again, despite Google killing off Reader.
