Obviously the Spotify API has moved on from this point. *However* what I could do is reimplement the Spotify API of 2012 and sort of proxy it.
Unfortunately, Spotify Desktop does not appear to be passing through my MITM Proxy. The next thing I will try is the "transparent" mode, which should be a wee bit more stealthy
