viral posts on fedi are fascinating. because my immediate guess would be time is less important for reach than "how many reposts did a post have recently"
so i expect a curve like that:
the interesting thing is in my experience for posts with lets say 200 repeats, the half time is 1h.
so most immediate reactions are done by those chronically online. 100 by those who are less online and those who currently are asleep.
also somehow stuff doesnt get popular faster and faster.
so i assume for some reason there is a very low ceilling for viral posts. sure if u make people from completely other bubbles follow you (celebs for example) you can reach a higher high but it is still a low ceilling compared to exponential growth.
