Isometric Hedgehog
The usual Sonic but with a diagonal overhead view! Collect little bird friends in order to progress which is mechanic taken directly from the old game Flicky. Of course Eggman views an opportunity to collect the Chaos Emeralds.
Though this is about the 16-bit version, I have played the Saturn version also whose special stages are way more fun. (I could do a separate writeup, but not today)
