I’m on record as not being a fan of Lou Reed (musically or personally), but I like Transformer. The reasons why have nothing to do with Lou Reed.
Transformer is good because of David Bowie.

Lou Reed was nothing more than a belligerent, misogynistic drug addict and drunk. A fake intellectual who liked to belittle and antagonize everyone around him.
