I could do what I’ve done in the past, which is to design something “compatible with” the toy which could be used to replace a part but isn’t an exact original match.
I have no idea where this lands when it comes to ethics, legality, etc.—and it’s not like I’ve researched if the connection mechanism between ice cream parts is patented or something. 😅
I just want folks to be able to repair/restore toys instead of having to throw them out or buy entirely new sets for a single part.
