Being arrested in Venezuela for just running a Bitcoin <> Fiat exchange back in 2016, I don't believe government are going to become more accountable to its citizens. I believe they will try to seize and take all forms of wealth they can get their hands on (the governments), with new laws and restrictions aimed to prevent the mobility of wealth from one jurisdiction to another. Being open about owning Bitcoin in the future is going to put people in danger, and will make people to have a front activity in order to avoid any harm for using Bitcoin. I believe this scenario is more likely to happen first than a citizen subduing government scenario. But it may just be due our different initial conditions.
