FFM is an inland city & we were feeling somewhat deprived of the beach time we had enjoyed during our 18 month tour of #NZ. What’s more, the shrieks of crows & coos of pigeons weren’t capturing the variety of birdlife we had come to appreciate there. The North Sea coast would offer us both beach & birds: we needed a mid-winter adventure! That’s when we figured that our way north happened to cross paths with the German Fairy Tale Route. Once upon a time, a van was packed.
