Would this same person say that about all other groups? You're not a migrant so you have nothing to worry about rounding them up and deporting them? You're not a woman, so you have nothing to worry about misogyny or abortion access? You're not black so you have nothing to worry about systemic racism? How far does that attitude go? You're not your neighbor, so you have nothing to worry about as you neighbor gets bundled off into a van?
I am amazed at the basic selfishness of that mindset. As long as I'm not the target of the violence, that's fine. So the T-shirt here is the base idea: attack people I care about, I roll initiative too. You don't have to attack me directly.
