Today my favorite little geriatric Arabian mare Pearlie (the one who foundered a while back) got her hoof casts off and finally, after over a month on stall rest, was given the all-clear to return to gen pop in the paddock. She immediately snorted, bucked, farted, squealed, kicked out at her friends, galloped around, and rolled in mud. The natural order has been restored. All hail my genius farrier Austin, who so expertly managed her feet with mysterious orthotics it brought tears to my eyes. Her swift recovery is all down to him.
