Add in the Linux flavor and it's frustration in a can. I've finally got my mysql woes sorted, got Xbackbone to finally show up on my local site so I can ostensibly install it via the web interface. But now it's complaining that various and sundry resource directives aren't writeable. But I can't easily tell which user the code is running as in an effort to determine what the proper chmod should be on that directory structure.
At this rate, I might just have to go the manual install route and do it via PHP command line, but who knows if that will work. And of course, the Xbackbone documentation is fairly lacking and sparse - according to it, just "make the app visible in your local server and it will just work!"
Like anything in FOSS or Linux ever "just works".
