On a normal bill, if you have insurance, you'll see the amount "billed," the amount paid by insurance (each insurer pays a different amount), and the amount you owe. The amount billed is what you would have paid if you had no insurance coverage and didn't negotiate the bill. (i.e. Like most folk without insurance.)
