1月13日，湖南王怀玉律师发文：近日缅甸诈骗新闻引发热议，可翻开我们现行的《刑法》一看，却发现——“拐卖人口罪”这一条，居然已经消失了。
在1979年的《刑法》里有拐卖人口罪，1991年《严惩拐卖决定》出台对拐卖、绑架妇女、儿童的，法定刑大幅提高，但到了1997年，拐卖人口罪被“废除”，只保留“拐卖妇女、儿童罪”律师表示，不只是妇女、儿童需要保护，人人都需要被保护。

The 1979 Criminal Law included the crime of human trafficking, and the 1991 "Decision on Severe Punishment for Trafficking" significantly increased statutory penalties for trafficking and kidnapping women and children. However, in 1997, the crime of "human trafficking" was "abolished," retaining only the crime of "trafficking in women and children." The lawyer emphasized that not only women and children need protection - everyone needs to be protected.
