It's a lie that has cost many people their lives.
Most people who are parolled don't commit new crimes. So what? It's the message sent to society that is far more deadly. People have been conditioned to have less respect for the law and the word of the government because the government doesn't respect the meaning of words, or just lies.
Honesty is foundational for society. It's becoming quite scarce. This is one reason why I feel Bitcoin will thrive. Everything about Bitcoin is based honesty. That honesty is based in a mathematically enforced software algorithm no-one person can change.
