Mike Macgirvin (dev) (npub1vcv…9su0) Professionally I work with systems that run apps. My dev work is purely driven by personal reasons: nobody understands why what I see is important, so I have to build it myself.
I had a project manager that changed my life. Prior to my run-in with her, I did not capture knowledge about the system and goals well. She held me to task on this, but she also said, "Well, we aren't building a space shuttle. Nobody will die." In the past, she managed projects at Rockwell for the shuttle.
