I am still mostly in gloom since my Dad's funeral but it was lovely to get an invite today to a 90th birthday party for a fantastically strong minded and eccentric woman who has been and continues to be a great friend and support to my mother.

I have no idea what you get as a gift for a such a formidable women who already has everything she needs so if you have good ideas do let me know as I want to take a physical gift. I already know that the best gift we can give her is to be there at her party and afterwards. Just spending time with people and especially those who are mostly housebound, listening to their stories and chatting about things makes a difficult day for them so much better.
