One undersung #Emacs package I've been using is Honcho. It's an interface for running and monitoring long-running processes under Emacs. It has so much potential, but right now I'm using it for two things: running a brutaldon testing server (which I'm actually posting from now), and a hugo server. Both of these are things I'm going to interact with from Emacs (making changes to brutaldon or to my website), so it makes sense to run the servers from there.
