I dipped back into Facebook after a long while the other day.
Today, I’ve deleted the app off my phone. The feed is just tons of advertisements and “suggested” crap, barely anything from friends.
Reels/shorts/whatever they call them seems to be car crashes, chicks flashing their underwear for a single frame and, again, ads, with a vanishingly rare post from a friend every 50 swipes or so. Oh and obviously staged clickbait scenarios and gym content.
Entirely worthless platform IMO. Time was we used it to organise social events and activism and actual personal content. You know… *social* stuff.
Now it’s a shopping mall and a run-down carnival full of pickpockets and muggers.
