Today, I tested Linux Mint.
And it is exactly what Ubuntu wanted to be and what it should be.
I’m impressed how corporate enshitification managed to make Ubuntu so unfriendly. And how the focus of Gnome to "reinvent the desktop, like Apple" managed to make things so complex while sticking to the good old win95 philosophy is immediately usable for most users.
(MacOS is not better, shiny and trendy marketing doesn’t make an usable desktop. In fact, it’s the opposite)
