There's been a fair amount of chatter about an alleged data breach claiming ~3 billion records containing personal information on 300 million people, including addresses and Social Security numbers.
The data allegedly came from National Public Data, a data broker. We looked at this weeks ago when portions of the data first appeared online, and we got very mixed results. We could not confirm the legitimacy of the data, nor rule it out either. Proceed with caution!
