I'm realizing, sitting with this, that just as lots of us Xennials had grandparents who were kids during the Great Depression and never got over it, those of us who grew up working class or poor during the 80s have gotten the short end of the stick every decade for the last four, AND IT HAS MARKED US DEEPLY.
