Before anyone asks, no, I didn't fiddle with anything regarding the partition table and/or the bootcode recently. But yes, something strange happened before: I unlocked my screen in the morning (because the desktop pc was left running over night, which isn't exactly uncommon, I should work on that 🙈), it did show the running X session for like a second, then the screen went pitch black and no form of input did anything. I was in a hurry, so just powered off the machine. Only much later that day, I found my first harddisk block was "gone" 🤯 (assuming a dead disk or controller first)
