I was waiting for this year's WWDC with the last glimmer of hope that Apple would improve iPadOS and allow running MacOS like development workflows/toolchains for pro users in some form - be it virtualization or something else. Instead we got a calculator and that's about it. I was really ready to shell out big money for an iPad Pro if only I could actually ...use it.
Instead, we got another confirmation that Apple basically gave up on iPadOS. And I (pre)ordered a Surface Pro 11 today (I have not had a PC for over a decade).
