Sure!

I think the social aspect of of liking/reacting without the monetary element is important - we should be able to interact with posts without cost. It's a bit noninclusive to require paying in order to facilitate interaction with a post.

It's also not obvious that disallowing likes/reactions would help with nostr adoption.

Saying that, I do think zaps are a great. It's an amazing thing to be able to zap posts that have value to you.
