idk if it necessarily helps in terms of "getting" fedi, but an introduction post helps (can boost that around, but that also comes with the danger of being boosted around too much? idk)
i guess starting with what they'd want to use the account for/their presence here for will help with the "how to fedi (and where to fedi)" (not that I know what will be a good instance to recommend though... but with that info, can help look/vet).
