I didnt write NIP-96, I wrote NIP-98 with Kieran.

I dont have a strong opinion on either Blossom or NIP-96. I dont mind who wins. But both are competing for 0.01% of the web, max. ie they will always be niche technologies. Perhaps this needs qualification, but any other view that is not wishful thinking would need to make its case.

NIP-98 can scale to the entire web, and create a universal payments space too based on taproot and schnorr, as well as single sign on. The web already has built in primitives for writing files such as HTTP PUT. It just uses widely deployed auth header.

The web also has content addressable file names such as RFC6920. I'd like to see auth with schnorr and NIP-98 reach a wider audience, and introduce single sign-on to more of the web.
