I've seen friends schedule weeks off work and have everything set up only for plans to fall apart because they or their doctor got Covid. Now they're on the waiting list again.

Hell, I've considered getting a final revision on my own surgery that had gotten botched the first time, but can't risk my own doctors getting me sick. And to be blunt, even if I fixed everything up, there aren't safe spaces and places to meet folks so I could use it the way I want, so I can't see the point of dealing with surgery pains for it.

Kept from being my ideal self and finding gender euphoria due to the ableism of trans and queer siblings is a particularly brutal emotionally. A whole community for folks like me that doesn't want me in it. Owch...
