Version 0.2.1 – Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream on Blini & Lemon Zest Refinement
Iftakharhasnayenabir (nprofile…z409) added a zesty twist to Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream on Blini with performance improvements and optimizations! Version 0.2.1 brings a lighter logo, smarter relay handling, and an improved data-fetching experience.
🔧 What’s Improved?
✔ Logo Optimization – Now 800 bytes smaller, keeping Yumyume lightweight and efficient.
✔ Smarter Relay Connections – If the tab is inactive for 5 minutes, the connection automatically closes and restarts when you return—saving resources while keeping things seamless.
✔ Faster Data Fetching – We've replaced nostr-tools with our own Vanilla JS implementation, ensuring real-time updates from relays without extra fetch requests—data arrives instantly!
🔜 What’s Next?
We’re preparing to migrate to NIP-01 and kind 39700, as sepehr (nprofile…ks8l) integrated it into Pinja https://www.pinja.in/ . We were positively surprised to discover that Sep and we both started working on social bookmarking around the same time—this means there are multiple clients to choose from for social bookmarking with Nostr 🎉
🚨 Important: Since this migration will require users to manually transfer their bookmarks, we recommend not adding too many new bookmarks in Yumyume MVP just yet. We will provide a link to the old client with the existing kind, so our first users can copy/paste their bookmarks to the new version. More details will follow soon!
