Random update on my bike crash from a few weeks ago. I'm mostly healed (still some bruises, and will likely have a permanent scar on my chin). Finally got around to emailing Priority bikes to let them know that the kickstand got sheared off in it, and was the likely cause. 30 seconds later they had a free kickstand ordered to ship out, followed by a friendly email from a real human and following a nice discussion, a steeply discounted new helmet. Great customer service.
