It was a late nuclear effort step in the war, earlier the guys swapped screws to security torx but workers started to smuggle in matching driver bits.
The real bizarre part tho - workers were not being punished for the breakages and maintenance was available to install spares round the clock.
So there was basically no reason for them to do all this down low shady stuff.
