Lemmy is just a Fediverse copy of Reddit.
PeerTube is just a Fediverse copy of YouTube.
Perhaps the problems people have with the Fediverse have nothing to do with the protocols at all and are actually due to our limited ideas of what social can be.
We need to turn the Fediverse not into a copy of what has already come before, but push it to be something far, far better. Early days, but I am insanely optimistic.
