First book of the year read. Revisited an old favourite, David Weber's 'On Basilisk Station', the start of a long series of sequels and spinoffs collectively known as the 'Honorverse'. This is my third reading and I still loved every page of thickly cheesy military sci-fi. And yes, you should definitely judge this book by its cover
